Hold the glass by the stem, sniff, give that sweet nectar a swirl, sniff again and put in on the palate. That is the good life or at least was this past weekend.
It’s a good thing Thor and Kelly get along. Otherwise she might have become slightly jealous during our Wine Tour Mancation. Two days in the gorgeous Naramata wine region and I have an even greater appreciation for our beautiful province. Elephant Island, Poplar Grove and Township 7 are just a few of the wineries where we learned about the art of a good grape and were surrounded by lush orchards.
Summerland Resort is simply gorgeous and a pretty good choice for anyone looking to jump out of their daily grind. I’m a big city boy tried and true, but after 48 hours of sipping wines, followed by a Kettle Valley Railway Tour to close out the weekend, this is the sort of thing I could get into on the regular.
