It’s the one show I think everyone can relate to. Most of us watched Sesame Street as kids. And many of us have made our children addicted to the show.

When I was a very young kid — I was given my very own Bert and Ernie. I took these guys EVERYWHERE with me. Seriously. Everywhere. I even lost Bert once — and my parents got me another one. But then miraculously, I found Bert. And ended up with two of them. Bert and Ernie have been battered around over all these years — and ended up in a box in my closet. And I’ve never thrown them away.

So with Dawn being on location this morning in Abbotsford, I dug into the archives and found my childhood buddies. And both are in pretty rough shape! Ernie is missing an eye — his smile is almost falling off. His arm ripped off at one point and my mother had to sew it back on. Bert has a giant rip in his chest with stuffing coming out. And his ear is about to fall off, too.

Great memories from my childhood. And I won’t be getting rid of these guys anytime soon! Check out their TV debut this morning on BT.
