Thor Diakow is a blogging machine. He types faster than I can talk. His mind works faster than a computer. It’s unbelievable. I think I’m going to try and keep up with him for a bit. We’ll see how it goes.
Speaking of Thor, he recently saw Angels & Demons with Tom Hanks and has given me a preview of the film. I’m seeing it over the weekend you see because I’m talking with the crew at CIS on Tuesday morning. At CIS, they recreate images for the big screen. The actors in the movie never set foot in a church. It’s computer effects–and beleive me, it’s amazing to see how they did it.

If you are looking for something different to do, there is going to be a smashing good time on Pender Island this weekend. It is the second of 9 events in the 2009 Island Summer Series Disc Golf championship. People from all over the island, Cortes to Victoria, will be playing to raise money for the local charity, and snag some all important series points. If you are around, Pender Island Disc Golf course (http://www.discgolfisland.com/) is a great place to spend a day and meet some super fantastic people. I imagine there will be around 50 people competing as Pender is one of the favourites on the tour. If you can, come on over, disc golf can always use some great promotion. May 23 & 24 “the Pender Bender” lives on!
