Michel and I helped host the Sears Great Canadian Chill in English Bay this weekend. The weather was AWFUL. But the downpour didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits — as more than $20,000 was raised to help fund oncology units at hospitals across the country — including BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver.

Congrats to everyone who took part in the Polar Bear Swim in English Bay. You’re much braver than we are!

Well, it could have been a lot worse - check out my review of the disappointing ‘This Means War’ HERE.
Have a great weekend!

Due to a trolley overhead issue at Broadway and Commercial, service along both routes will be slower than usual this morning. The trolley buses (#9 and #20) are getting through, pulling the poles, running on auxiliary power past the problem area and then re-connecting — that will slow those services down. 99 B-Line is going all the way to Boundary Loop, instead of turning at Grandview Loop, and doing local pickups and dropoffs to assist with the #9. That will cause considerable delays on that schedule. On top of all that, traffic is getting extremely congested in the area.
It’s kind of a slow week for new releases but check out what I thought of ‘The Rum Diary’ and ‘Take Shelter’ HERE.

Happy Friday folks!
Check out how many hammers I dropped on ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’ and the gripping ‘We Need To Talk About Kevin’ HERE.
Enjoy & happy viewing!

Hastings street is currently closed due to a crash overnight.
Diesel service is routing via Renfrew, McGill and Cassiar back to Hastings; trolleys are routing via Renfrew, Broadway and Boundary Loop.
That means there’s currently no trolley service in or out of Kootenay Loop. Customers planning to get a trolley bus will need to take a diesel — the 135 or 160 — and transfer on Hastings and Renfrew.
No word on how long this will be.
Hi Folks,
It’s a brand new week and that means another batch of new Blu-ray & DVD releases. Check them out HERE.
Enjoy,
